April 2011
April 2011 already - it has been two years since my last update; many interesting things have happened in the world of The Benefits Of Positive Thinking and in my life :-)Let's start with the present moment... because this month, April, marks the anniversary of TBOPT. It was the 27th of April 2006 that I first put up the home page of my web site. In these five years TBOPT has grown incredibly, creating a community around it through the thousands of visitors to the web site every month, the facebook page, the twitter followers, and the visitors who contact me regularly with questions or comments. Incidentally, The Benefits Of Positive Thinking received the award of most positive web site of the month of March 2011, as voted by the visitors of PositiveThinking-toolbox.com :-)

There are two main developments that I'm particularly proud of, which happened in the last year:- I launched Empowered Experience, my coaching services. Through Empowered Experience I help people on a one-to-one basis: we explore the issue that the person has a problem with, and we find ways to deal with it through the thoughts and the emotions, to achieve inner peace.
Having a session with a client is truly an Empowered Experience, both for the client and for myself - "This is what I have been born to do", I think after every session :-) - I published my handbook 'From Conflict To Calm', which is a guide to deal with the difficult feelings and thoughts that arise when you have conflict with someone at work.
The creation of this handbook was an interesting journey for me - I was not sure that the material would be needed. As it turns out, there are more people in need of help to cope with the difficulties with people at work than I thought. My handbook has received great feedback - a reader even wrote back "Without a doubt, I see the life of many people changing after reading your handbook" :-)
Moving forward, I want to create an updated version of 'From Conflict To Calm' with even more examples and techniques to deal with conflict at work. I also want to expand my Empowered Experience coaching - I would like to eventually facilitate gatherings in which we can discuss ways to deal with the difficult thoughts and emotions that come up every day. As for my personal life, I moved house! Myself, my husband and our flatmate moved from a cozy albeit small flat in central London to a house in the outskirts of the city. We gained in space, fresher air, garden space, and tranquility. I have also felt that 2011 is the year for my body - to improve my health in all ways. In fact, I have started attending Alexander technique sessions, where a skilled and gentle woman helps me notice my own internal energy and sense of balance. I'm very excited about this, because it just feels so right, and it's bringing my spine back into alignment. Among all these good news there have been moments of tremendous difficulties - and as I have observed, I haven't been the only one going through very rough times. These are rocky times we're living, with the Earth reflecting back to us all that's going on between people in the world. The best thing that we can do at these times to help ourselves and to be of help to others is to keep focused on the positive things, and to keep breathing mindfully and trusting that it is all well at a very deep level. Whenever you find yourself in a position of emotional stability, do reach out to help others who have it tough - in this way we can all contribute to create a better world. As for the next update, hopefully I won't take two years in writing it ;-) Thank you for visiting my site, and keep well! With love Cris
