Dare To Play It Big, Issue #030 -- Moving Into A New Stage May 17, 2010 |
Moving Into A New StageIn this issue... Empowered Experience: Following My Call
After a few months of planning, studying, writing, re-writing, and trusting, I have finally given birth to a project that is part of my life path: my Empowered Experience Coaching Services. I have always thought that if I was fully sorted in terms of money and necessities, I would just get up, go out and meet with random people, listen to them and help them with my words to create a better reality for themselves. THAT would fulfill me. Through Empowered Experience I'm doing that - not face to face but over Skype. And oh boy have I found something that I really want to do :-) In short, Empowered Experience consists in my personal coaching services. If you have an issue that has been bothering you, such as looking for approval or lack of confidence, we will explore it in one or several sessions and we will find ways to move forward which leave you feeling more empowered and in control (find out more on the Empowered Experience page). As an exclusive offer for the readers of Dare To Play It Big, I am now offering half-price sessions if you book your session before 31 May 2010. My normal hourly rate is £50 (77 US$) - but if you book before 31 May and enter the word "DARE" in the promotional code box, you pay only £25 (38 US$). Make your way to the Empowered Experience Coaching Services page and book your session today - I'd love to talk with you! It's amazing to me how technology keeps on advancing so quickly, and how some of the things are being invented make our life so much easier and better. One of these inventions is the "bionic eye": a device developed by researchers in Australia which aims to help people who suffer from degenerative vision loss. What looks like a pair of modern specs is actually a very clever tool which can improve people's lives. Read at the full news at wired.com. Sometimes we find ourselves having outgrown certain situations but still living in them: keeping a job that we no longer want to do, being with a partner with whom we no longer want to be, living in a country we don't want to be in anymore, eating food we don't really want to have. And even though we know we don't want to experience that particular situation any longer, and we know what are the steps we could take to leave it behind, we just don't do it. If you look deep inside, you know that the reason why you (or I) don't do what we think is best for us is because of fear. Mainly, fear of the unknown - which includes not being in control, the possibility of failing and thus fear of criticism or rejection - and it all runs very deeply ingrained with the fear of "not being able to make it". Our mechanism of fear of the unknown is just there to help preserve life, so that we don't do something that would kill us (bless it). However, if we let ourselves be overrun by it then it only keeps us stuck in the same old, same old - especially since the worst-case scenario of any new situation is probably not going to be death. I have found two steps that we can use as a bridge to overcome the fear and move from where we are to where we want to be:
Little by little, we find ourselves in our new path, refreshed and glowing - and more importantly, with the feeling of increased confidence in ourselves. Take a step today towards leaving behind a situation that no longer serves you. A whole new world is awaiting! "I'm Thankful For The Little Moments", by DorothyAnne Every month I receive emails from readers - some of them contain questions or comments, and some of them are contributions, such as a positive story, an article or a tip. This month DorothyAnne, from Rochester, NY, shared this piece of gratitude: I'm Thankful For This Site, It Helps Me And I Know It's An Inspiration To Others! I'm Thankful For My Good Friends And All The Support They Have Given Me Through Difficult Times! And All The Little Moments That Gave Me Reason To Smile! I'm Thankful For The Small Things Too, Like My New Apartment, And It's Quiet And The Neighbors Are Nice! I'm Thankful For My Siamese Cat Kelly, He 18 Years Old, I Know He Loves Me And He Brings Comfort When I Need It! I'm Thankful For Another Day! So Many Blessings Can Be Found In Simple Things! I'm Thankful For A Chance To Be What God Wants Me Be! To Have A Child Like Heart, To See The Beauty In Small Things! To Reach Out, To Love! I Thank You For The Chance To Have A Closer Walk With You God! You can read this piece of gratitude on its page at "I'm Thankful For The Little Moments". Thanks, DorothyAnne! :-) "How To Live The Life Of Your Dreams" I had the pleasure to read Colin's ebook "How To Live The Life Of Your Dreams", and all I can say is - wow, what a neat way to present all the key information you need to create your own reality. This practical ebook compiles and explains very useful tools, such as visualization or the Law of Vacuum, in a clear and attractive way. If you've used some of these tools but you haven't "put it all together" yet, then "How To Live The Life Of Your Dreams" is just the next logical step :-) Besides, you can now win a free copy of Colin's ebook through the "How To Live The Life Of Your Dreams" contest. The contest is open until 31 May 2010, and all you have to do to enter is submit your answers to the questions "Have you had any experience using visualization and the law of attraction? If so, was it successful for you? How?" Make your way to the "How To Live The Life Of Your Dreams" page and submit your entry using the form at the bottom of the page. Good luck! :-) I believe that being grateful for something is one of the most powerful tools to feel better immediately. Here are the two thanking bits of the month: Thankful for... raspberries! I had my first serving this year just the other day and remembered how much I like them. Now, looking forward to my raspberry bush giving me some this summer! Thankful for... all the support. The last few months, as I have been bringing a couple of important projects to light, I have experienced the support of many people in my life. Thanks to them and their push I have taken steps in the right direction. Thank you! What are you thankful for? Send me an email through the Contact Me form and let me know! Thank you for reading this issue of Dare To Play It Big, the free positive thinking newsletter of The Benefits Of Positive Thinking. Care to send me your thoughts about this issue's topics?
