Welcome To A New Day Of Positive Thinking

Every day is a new day of positive thinking when you focus on what's important

Talk about opportunities!

It doesn't matter if you went to bed in a negative mood yesterday, because today gives you another chance to benefit from positive thinking.

See, our thoughts create our reality, so any moment is always the perfect moment to think positively.

The first minutes and hours of your day are the most important ones, because your mind is very receptive and doesn't add unnecessary thoughts.

Feed your mind with positive thoughts to effectively start a new day of positive thinking. For instance, you can use these affirmations for today.

Start a new day of positive thinking with gratitude

A key tool to start a new day of positive thinking is to feel gratitude. This is the first tip that you can find in these five tips to become a positive person.

Don't jump out of bed straight away when you wake up. Choose something that you are thankful for and think about it, while still laying in bed.

You could feel grateful for a beautiful day, for your partner lying next to you, for the breakfast that you will enjoy, or for something that you will do in the evening which excites you.

Do not to rush over it: the secret is to actually take the time to feel the gratitude. You will then notice that you're in a good mood and ready to start the day without effort.

As you go on with your day, keep on feeling thankful for the things that you have: a hot shower, clothes to wear, a good meal, etc.

Feeling gratitude will strengthen your positive mood, and it's an excellent way to keep a positive attitude outlook.

You could also make use of these positive phrases or these poems on positive thinking to support you on your mission of thinking in a positive way.

Keep it up throughout the day

You can gain a sense of direction and maintain your initial good mood throughout the day by keeping in mind these two key points:

  1. Breathe consciously.

Breathing is essential to life. When you breathe properly you help your body and your mind relax. Focus on your breath to gain calm and feel better.

Find a quiet place with no distractions to focus on breathing properly. With your mouth closed, take a slow breath and let it go slowly too.

Focus on the air coming in and out of your body. Repeat for a few times or a minute, and you'll notice how you feel better.

Practice slow breathing every time you feel stressed or simply to improve your general mood.

  2. Handle just the present.

Although our bodies remain physically here, our minds are often somewhere else, reliving the past or fearing the future.

This makes us loose focus of our positive day, because we become easily wrapped into the deflating energy of uncertainty, fear, worry or anger.

Coming back to the present moment is an excellent way to gain calm and feel better. Focus on what you are actually doing - be that making dinner, brushing your teeth or having a conversation. Pay attention to doing it with care and to the best of your abilities.

When you focus on the present moment you block any other thoughts that keep your mind distracted and you obtain a sense of fullness: the beauty of you being alive at this moment, doing what you are doing.

Come back to these key points frequently throughout the day to maintain your positive mood and to start building a positive attitude.
