The good news is that you can also use your thoughts to let go of stress, especially if you notice at an early stage that you're stressing up.

Affirmations are one of the easiest ways to calm down at any moment. You can experiment with different affirmation wording to find the words that feel good to you when you read them.

You can also find it useful to say your affirmations aloud - and so to hear calming words in your own voice. Pay attention to your tone of voice - choose to be kind and loving to yourself.
