Present Affirmations

Use these present affirmations to ground yourself in the Now

As you know, we only have the now.

The present is the only time we will ever live in; the future and the past are projections of our imagination or our memory.

Yet when I started to be more aware of living in the present I had a little problem.

You see, sometimes I felt that living in the present meant somehow giving up control. It meant that there was no more playing in my head what I'd be doing next, for instance.

Would I be able to fit in my day all the things I wanted to do (or thought I should do) if I didn't plan when to do them in my head first? In a way, living in the now felt 'risky'.

Nothing further from the truth. Living in the present is not only enjoyable, but it is also liberating: awareness of the present moment allows you to get even more things done without planning when or how you'll do them.

Giving up control feels safe when living in the now. As a result, you enjoy more the moment you're in, you let go off the stress of planning your life to the minute, and you become more spontaneous and 'more you'.

Use the affirmations below to fully experience life in the now.
